I believe the point is:

Brynn and I were virgins before we were married but having pride in our "purity" is sin.
We all are like the broken, destroyed rose... because of the evil in our hearts, we have whored ourselves out to every idol imaginable. We all need Jesus and His death and resurrection to save us from the wrath of God and allow us to worship and enjoy Him forever.
Now that is powerful! We all need to watch that every couple of months...We do not need to lose sight of what the gospel is about!
